The Happy Fryer sells digital products only. Every item in our store is a downloadable PDF ebook delivered by email. Nothing is shipped to you, so there is nothing to return.

Our 30-day money-back guarantee

Every purchase is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not happy with your ebooks for any reason, email us within 30 days of your order date and we will refund you in full.

No reason needed. You don't have to explain why.
Nothing to send back. You don't need to return or prove you have deleted anything.
A full refund of what you paid for the item, including any sales tax (GST/HST/QST) that was charged.
No fees or deductions.

This guarantee is voluntary and is given in addition to any rights you have under the consumer protection law of your province or territory. It does not replace or reduce them.

What the guarantee covers

Every product in our store: single books, packs and bundles.
Extras you accept after checkout (for example, an extra guide offered on the order confirmation page). Each extra is covered by the same 30-day guarantee, counted from the date you bought it. You can ask for a refund on an extra on its own and keep the rest of your order, or refund the whole order.

A pack or bundle is refunded as one item, at the price you actually paid for it.

Your rights under provincial law

Because our ebooks can be downloaded immediately, there is generally no "cooling-off" period once you have accessed your files. That does not matter in practice: our 30-day money-back guarantee gives you a full month to change your mind, with no reason needed.

Provincial consumer protection laws (for example, Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002, Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and Alberta's Consumer Protection Act) give you additional rights for online purchases. Among other things, if we did not clearly disclose the required information before you ordered, or did not send you a copy of your agreement within the required time (15 days in Ontario and Quebec), you may be entitled to cancel and receive a refund. If a file is damaged, incomplete, won't open or isn't what we described, we will replace it or refund you at any time, including after the 30 days. Nothing in this policy limits these rights.

How to request a refund

Email support@thehappyfryer.net with:

the email address you used at checkout, and
your order number (it's in your confirmation email).

We reply within 2 business days. Refunds are issued within 14 days of your request (and always within the time required by your provincial law), to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer usually takes a further 3–10 business days to show it on your statement; that timing is set by them, not by us. We will email you when the refund has been issued.

After the 30 days

After 30 days our voluntary guarantee ends. Your rights under provincial law described above still apply: if a file is faulty, or you never received it, we will fix it, replace it or refund you.

Download or delivery problems

If your download email didn't arrive or a link doesn't work, check your spam, junk and promotions folders, then contact us. We'll resend your files right away. You will never lose access to something you paid for because of a delivery problem.

Please contact us before disputing a payment

If something is wrong with your order, please email us first: we can almost always refund you faster than a credit card dispute or chargeback. Disputing a payment does not affect your rights (including any right to a credit card charge reversal under your provincial law), but if you open a dispute we will share your order and delivery records with your card issuer so it can decide the case. If you have already received a refund from us, please don't also dispute the same payment.
